New bus information office opened for business _________________________________________________________________

Traffic & Highway Services and CT Plus are pleased to confirm that the new bus information office next to the Terminus has now opened to the public.

The first phase of the move sees the closure of the small information kiosk at the Terminus and the relocation of passenger services to a more spacious and comfortable premises across the road at Unit 1, The Albany.

The relocation provides passengers with the following immediate benefits:

-       They can obtain bus route information or purchase / top-up bus travel passes in a more comfortable environment and away from any inclement weather;

-       There is seating for the elderly or infirm and support on-hand for those requiring special assistance.

 

Work is also in hand to provide detailed information on bus route diversions and digitalised information on all scheduled bus departure times from the Terminus along with other bus related information.

 

The second phase will provide much improved rest facilities for drivers and other staff working at the Terminus on the first floor of the premises.

 

Further transport related services are planned on the ground floor at a later date, including the hire of folding cycles which can be taken on the scheduled buses.

 

A presence on the Terminus will be maintained by the Duty Controller who will be on hand to answer any customer enquiries.

 

Opening times:
8am - 6pm Weekdays
10 - 4pm Sundays and bank holidays

Applications welcome from both experienced drivers and those wanting to train to be a bus driver. Those residentially qualified and already holding a car licence can join the training programme from the age of 21.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced bus drivers to join our team at CT Plus Guernsey.Driving our fleet of modern buses across our network of scheduled and school services you will cover the island, from country to coast.For existing bus licence holders pay starts at £12.30 per hour, with £15.68 per hour for any work after 18:30hrs and all day Sundays. Training rate is £8.85 per hour for the first 2-3 weeks.Immediate starts are available for those with full PSV/PCV licences.
