Welcome to our new website. Please explore the new site, get used to new features and give feedback on what’s working well and what might need further work.
“We are excited by all the new features this website now offers” said Lee Murphy, CT Plus Operations Manager, “The new ticketing system is giving us more up to date information that the website can now share”
“The provision of these important travel planning tools to assist in making the best possible use of the Island’s scheduled bus services a series of exciting enhancements designed to make the bus service more accessible to the travelling public” said Deputy Yvonne Burford, Minister for the Environment Department.
The website has several new features:
Stop-by-Stop: This feature shows the next departures for every bus stop on Guernsey. Passengers can just click on the bus stop they are interested in and it will show the route number, destination and scheduled departure time. There are two versions – a network map shows the main bus stops and a full geographic map covers every bus stop on the Island. Passengers can even add bus routes and key visitor attractions onto the map.
Over time, we're looking to upgrade this feature to use real-time information instead of timetables.
Journey planner: The journey planner aims to help passengers find the right bus for their trip. Passengers select the start and end points of their journey by clicking bus stops on the map, or typing into a form, add the date and time and then press ‘Plan my trip.’
As with our Stop-by-Stop functions, passengers can switch between a simplified network map that shows the main destinations and a full geographic map where they can zoom in to plan journeys between every bus stop in Guernsey. Visitors can also add key tourist destinations at the touch of a button, helping them to find the nearest bus stop and get the most out of their stay.
Journey planner results will show up to three different choices – later services or a different way of making the journey if possible. Just click on the different options to show them on the map. The results will also provide the full timetable for the journey as a download to help plan a return trip, and – if this is the trip that passengers make regularly,.
Timetables: Our timetables page provides the latest timetables for the service, simply click on the route number and the site will show the basic timetable. To help passengers work out whether it’s the right route, they can see the route drawn on a map. If they want to see the full timetable, they can expand the timetable to see every stop on the route. Passengers can then choose whether they want to download the timetable.
